Yes, dream of your perfect home and where you think it might be.
Drive around and look at houses and neighborhoods. Keep in
mind...LOCATION comes first. The house comes second. Never, never
buy a house without actually visiting and inspecting the land and
building.
2. Then Get Real.
Looking at the dollars helps keep you in the real world. How
much are you willing, or want, to pay MONTHLY for your dream
home ? Notice I said WANT TO ! When lenders of mortgage money talk
with you, they will tell you the maximum loan and monthly
payment you qualify for. That amount might be more than you WANT
to pay monthly. I CAN TELL YOU HOW REALISTIC YOUR DREAM IS.
3. Next...Shop, Shop, Shop, Ask, Ask,Ask.
The most expensive or least expensive home is listed for
sale at ASKING price. Your best indication of it's real
worth is what other similar homes have actually sold for in that
community. So check out the recently SOLD prices before making
an offer to buy. This is where I can help...I have all the SOLD
info for all Charlotte area homes for the past 2 years. So
